What is athlete’s foot?
Tinea pedis - A fungal infection usually between the toes.
Athlete’s foot symptoms.
Itchy white patches between toes.
Sore red flaky patches on feet.

Dry foot thoroughly after washing, particularly inbetween the toes.
Use a separate towel for your feet and wash it regularly
Takes shoes off when at home
Wear clean socks every day
Avoid scratching
Don’t share towels, socks, or shoes.
Don’t walk around barefoot in public areas - wear flipflops.
Athlete’s foot OTC treatment.
1% Clotrimazole cream - Canesten
Miconazole cream - Daktarin Aktiv
Miconazole + hydrocortisone - Daktacort
CHECK AGE
Athlete’s foot referral.
OTC treatment unsuccessful.
Signs of more severe infections.
Diabetes
Immunocompromised
Pregnant
Athlete’s foot OTC product counselling.
Wash feet and dry thoroughly before applhying.
Wash hands before and after using.
May cause irritation.
Use 2-3x a day.
After 7 days see GP.
Some products require use for 7 days after symptoms have cleared to prevent them coming back.
