What’s the order of Angiosperms?
Monocotyledons (Monocots)
Eudicotyledons (Dicots)
How are vascular bundles arranged in Monocots as opposed to Dicots?
Vascular bundles in Monocots are typically scattered around the stem whilst in Dicots they are arranged in a circular fashion along the outer edges.
How many cotyledons (Embryonic leaves) do they have?
Monocots typically have one cotyledon while Dicots have two.
What multiples are the leaves in for the two?
Monocots are in multiples of 3 while Dicots are in multiples of 4-5.
What is the leaf structure for the two?
Monocots typically have narrow leaves with parallel veins while Dicots have broad leaves with branching veins.
What are the roots like for the two?
Monocots typically have a fibrous, branching root system while Dicots have a tap root system.
