Nervous system
any disease of the nervous system can lead to FSD
Hormonally based FSD
dysfunction of the hypothalamic-pituitary axis
surgical or medical castration
premature ovarian failure
exogenous hormones
pelvic floor muscles
responsible for the involuntary rhythmic contractions with orgasm.
increased tone
- dysparenunia and vaginismus
hypotonia
- decreased vaginal sensation
- coital anorgasmia
- urinary incontinence during intercourse or orgasm
