Q

inferior alveolar nerve

A
  1. enters the mandibular foramen
  2. forms dental plexus
  3. mental nerve passes through mental foramen and supply the skin and mucous membrane of the lower lip, skin of the chin and the mandibular incisor teeth

Q

otic ganglion

A
  1. parasympathetic
  2. The otic ganglion is a small parasympathetic ganglion located immediately below the foramen ovale in the infratemporal fossa and on the medial surface of the mandibular nerve. It is functionally associated with the glossopharyngeal nerve and innervates the parotid gland for salivation.
