Q

How can positive tranfer be ensured?

A
  • Positive transfer can be encouraged by making sure training is realistic.

Q

How can a coach ensure negative transfers dont happen?

A
  • The coach must make sure that one skill is well learned before moving on to a more advanced skill.
  • If skills are not learned well and technique is wrong then negative transfers can take place as bad habits are learned.
  • E.g. swimming progressions not learned properly before moving on to lengths.
