PROTEGER
En cas d’accident, la premiere chose a faire est de proteger (pour eviter un suraccident):
1. La ou les personne(s) en danger.
2. La zone de danger.
3. Vous meme.

Si la victime ne peut pas se soustraire d’elle-meme a un danger reel, immediat et non controlable, un degagement d’urgence peut alors etre envisage. Cette action doit rester exceptionnelle.

PROTECT
In the event of an accident, the first thing to do is to protect (to avoid another accident):
1. The person(s) in danger.
2. The danger zone.
3. You yourself.

If the victim cannot escape a real, immediate and uncontrollable danger on their own, emergency escape may then be considered. This action must remain exceptional.

Appuyez fortement sur l’endroit qui saigne avec un tissu propre, our a defaut, la main. La victime doit, si possible, le faire elle meme.

Press firmly on the bleeding area with a clean cloth, or if not, your hand. The victim should, if possible, do it themselves.

4. Arret cardiaque - le coeur ne fonctionne plus.
Pratiquez une reanimation cardio-pulmonaire (RCP). Si possible, utilisez un defibrillateur automatise externe (DAE) qui fait lui-meme le diagnostic et delivre le choc si besoin.

Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). If possible, use an automated external defibrillator (AED) which makes the diagnosis itself and delivers the shock if necessary.

Pour savoir si la victime est consciente, posez des questions simples. Pour verifier la respiration, regardez si le ventre et la poitrine se soulevent, ecoutez les eventuels sons, sentez l’air lors de l’expiration.

To find out if the victim is conscious, ask simple questions. To check breathing, see if the stomach and chest rise, listen for any sounds, feel the air when exhaling.
