Describe the difference in leprosy infection depending on cell mediated immunity

A

Low cell mediated immunity → lepromatous leprosy
- extensive skin involvement
- symmetrical nerve involvement

High cell mediated immunity →
- tuberculoid leprosy
- limited skin disease
- asymmetric nerve involvement
- hair loss
