Lab 8: Cubital Fossa; Anterior Antebrachium Flashcards
How is the antebrachium divided?
Anterior/Posterior , SUperficial/Deep
BS of Anterior Antebrachium? NS?
Superficial: Ulnar A
Deep: Interosseous A
Median N
What is the exception for anterior anterbrachium NS?
Ulnar N innervates FCU and half of FDP
BS/ NS for posterior antebrachium?
Superficial: Radial A
Deep: Post Interosseous A
Radial N
Superficial Anterior Antebrachium Mucles?
FCU/FCR
PL/PT
FDS
Deep Anterior Antebrachium Muscles?
PQ
FDP
FPL
Musculatenous Pathway?
Passes through cubital fossa and continue down the antebrachium as LAC
Median N pathway in antebrachium
Passes through cubital fossa and travels between two heads of pronator teres and between FDP and FDS. Then emerge anteriorly just proximal to wrist and enter hands betweed FDP and flexor retinaculum
Pathway of Ulnar N?
Goes around the medial epicondyle and travels between 2 heads of FCU to supply it and half of FDP
Pathway of Radial N Proper?
Split at cubital fossa into deep and superficial. Deep pierces supinator and innervate post antebrachium. Superficial travels under brachioradialis and innervate skin only
What nerves travel around medial epicondyle between two heads of FCU?
ulnar N
Action of Ant/Post Antebrachium
Flexor/Pronator
Where does the common interosseous A branches off? What does this artery supply?
Ulnar A
Anterior Superficial Antebrachium
Where does radial A supply? radial N supply?
Posterior Superficial Anterbrachium
Post Antebrachium
