What back muscles attach to scapula?
Levator scapulae Rhomboid minor Rhomboid major Trapezius
Order of layer back muscle that attaches to scapula?
Trapezius Rhomboid minor Rhomboid major Levator scapulae
What layer is below trapezius?
Latissimus dorsi
Intermediate layer back musculature:
Serratus posterior superior Serratus posterior inferior
What musculature back that below latissimus dorsi and in intermediate layer?
Serratus posterior inferior
What are deep layer back musculature?
Iliocostalis Longissimus Spinalis
What deep layer back muscle that attach only to posterior ribs?
Iliostalis
What deep layer back muscle that attach to thoracic (ribs) and cervical?
Longissimus
What deep layer back muscle that attach to only cervical thoracic and lumbar spinous process?
Spinalis
Palpation of Ligamentum Nuchae?
Head down and the ligament nuchae is prominent

Palpation of Occipital Protuberance?
the biggest pump behind your head
Palpation of spinous process?
Bend head forward, Its where you hurt because of holding weight while doing squats
Palpation of th inferior angle of scapula?
Hands behind the back (in handcuff position) and its the lowest point of scapula
Palpation of Medial/Vertebral Border of Scapula?
From the inferior angle of scapula, feel along the medially (close to the vertebrae)sidee

Palpation of spine of scapula?
Find the inferior angle of scapula, palpate to medial border of scapula until feel the pump then travel laterally along the side

Acromion Process of Shoulder Palpation?
The fat place in lateral deltoid

Palpation superior angle of the scapula?
The highest point of scapula travel medially border of scapula

Palpation of coracoid process of the scapula?
Under the clavicle (lateral side)

Palpation of the Lateral Border of Scapula
Find the Inferior angle of scapula, travel laterally
Palpation Upper Fibers of Trapezius?
Resistance hand?
Action/Movement
The side of the neck(dumbell shrug)
push shoulder down
Shoulder elevation

Palpation Middle fibers of Trapezius
Resistance hand
Action?
Move medially of the border of scapula, close to the spine and below the lvl of shoulder
behind the shoulder when you retract your shoulder (uon~ nguc forward)
Pushing shoulder backs
Trapezius -lower fiber palpation?
Resistance hand?
Movement?
handcuff postion, between inferior angle of scapula and spine
Straight the arm, make the fist, resist the fist
Shoulder depression

Palpation rhomboid major?
resistance
Movement
btw spine and scapula on the level of shoulders
back of shoulder
pinch the shoulder blade back

Latissimus Dorsi palpation?
Resistance hand
Action
Anywhere on lower lateral back
Back of arms
Internal rotation and extension
