Members shall present a COPY of Jury Duty notice to Officer on Duty…
Officer receiving notification that a member has been summoned for Jury duty should:
- Record in Company and Office Journal
- make any necessary notifications for staffing adjustments
Jury Duty Alert…
- telephone standby
- members required to report for duty as per their assigned schedules
- members on telephone standby SHOULD NOT participate in ANY MX exchange of tours (only work assigned schedules) from 1800 hours on the Sunday prior to the first day of Jury Duty Alert (or 1800 hours on Monday, if Monday is a holiday), until released from their jury duty obligation or their period of standby notification expires
Jury Duty leave will begin at 1800 hours on the date immediately prior to the scheduled start of service….
Jury Duty will end at 0900 hours on the date following the last date of Jury Duty Service
When members on telephone standby are told to report for JURY DUTY service they shall immediately notify units and be placed on JURY DUTY LEAVE..if a member is unable to contact his unit, NOTIFY ADMIN BATTALION
Members shall be placed on JURY DUTY leave when performing JURY DUTY SERVICE
Members scheduled for JURY DUTY SERVICE will not participate in any mutual exchange of tours from 1800 hours on the date immediately prior to the first day of service until released from JURY DUTY
While on JURY DUTY LEAVE, members if scheduled are required to work following tours:
9x6 –SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS, HOLIDAYS
6X9-SATUDAYS , AND BEFORE HOLIDAYS
-VETERANS excused from MEMORIAL DAY/VETERANS DAY because of jury duty , are not entitled to comp time
members on jury duty ALERT will not have vacation leave interrupted
members required to perform jury duty while on vacation , will have that vacation leave interrupted and be placed on jury duty 0900 the day jury duty service commences \-
this VL will resume 0900 on the date following completion of jury duty
