2-80/Performance Evaluation Appeal Process

Question 1

Probationary employees are NOT entitled to appeal.

Three levels of appeal: LEVEL 1,2,3

-member may appeal through the chain of command to the UNIFORMED SERVICES APPEAL BOARD only after completing the LEVEL I and Level II appeals process

LEVEL 1.

Answer 2

• within 1 week of performance eval, member may submit appeal in writing to EVALUATOR/rater
• the rater , upon receipt of an an appeal, shall schedule appeal session with a member within 2 weeks (attempt to resolve appeal)

Question 3

LEVEL II appeal process.

Answer 3

-member within one week after receipt of determination of LEVEL I appeal, may submit appeal to REVIEWER (evaluator immediate supervisor..could be a CAPT. for LT.

Question 4

LEVEL III.

Answer 4

-WITHIN 1 week after receipt of determination of LEVEL II, SUBIT AN APPEAL FORM TO

Question 5

DECISION OF APPEAL BOARD IS FINAL.

Answer 5

members are to appeal on their own time

-member , supervisor and reviewer will receive written determination from the Appeal Board
