A joints is where 2 or more bones meet

Where does the pivot joint occur on the body
Pivot joints allow bones to rotate
In a pivot joint one cylinder shaped bone rotates inside another bone or ligament that makes a ring around it

Only allows backwards and forwards motion

What is a ball and socket joint
In a ball and socket joint, the rounded head of a long bone (the ball) fits into a cup-shaped hole ( the socket)

Shoulder joint
What is a condoloyd joint
Is similar to a ball and socket joint but the ball rest against the end of a bone instead of inside the socket. This allows circular motion
