What does smart stand for
Specific Measurable Achievable Realistic Time-bound
What are the benefits of setting smart goals
Aiding success
Motivates you
What does specific mean
Means knowing exactly what your goal is
E.g I want to become fitter 👎 to general
I want to run 200m further in the cooper run test
What does measurable mean
Means it will be able to know when goals are achieved
E.g numerical goals
What does achievable mean
Meaning the goal is attainable
Unachievable goals will end up with demotivation
E.g bench pressing 10kg more in 6 weeks
what does Realistic mean
A goal may be achievable in practise but there are other reasons that may hinder the completion the the goal
E.g the gym was closed for 4 weeks
What does time bound mean
Having a start and a end point
If not it is easy to put of training
6-10 weeks is good
