it relaxes and moves up.

your lungs relax and lowers your rib cage.

during rest they are relaxed, during exercise they contract.
what happens to your ribcage during expiration?
it moves down and in.
what happens to the volume of thoracic activity during expiration?
it decreases and reduces.
what happens to the air pressure in your lungs during expiration?
it increases

goes leaves and goes out into the air.
