the environment:
-heat, light, pressure
what are LDR and thermistor?
LDR- light dependant resistor - detects light levels (security lighting)
thermistor- detects temp levels (central heating)
what does an output do?
responds to an input signal
the output is what your electrical product has to do
what are flowcharts used for?
used to plan programming in micro-chips
what does a switch do?
it completes a circuit to turn things on
what does a push to make switch do?
switch which only allows flow of electricity
how are microcontrollers used in electronic systems?
can be used as counters or timers or for decision making
what are intergrated circuits?
tiny circuit which can include millions of components
what are the advantages of IC circuits?
-cheap
-small
-low energy
what are ICs used for?
small electrics
