what meds are used for hypertension

A

lifestyle changes - healthy diet - exercise!!!

  • thiazide diuretics (HCTZ)
  • ACE-I (lisinopril)
  • ARBs (losartan) (used if ACE-I is not tolerated)
  • calcium channel blockers (amlodipine, diltiazem)
  • beta blockers (metoprolol) (decreases HR)
  • combo meds (losartan and HCTZ)
