What is Glucose 40% Oral Gel?
A
It rapidly increases blood glucose levels via buccal absorption.

Indications?
A
Known or suspected hypoglycaemia in a conscious patient where there is no risk of choking.

Dosage and Administration?
A
Gel squeezed into the mouth between teeth and gums. >12 years 10-20 grams with a 10 gram repeat dose after 5 mins

Buccal absorption - measure blood glucose levels after each absorption
