What is Glucose 10%
A
Reverses Hypoglycaemia by direct delivery of glucose to systemic circulation

Indications
A
Blood glucose < 4 when oral admin is not possible.
Unconscious patient where hypoglycaemia is likely cause
Patient has not responded to IM Glucagon for more than 10 mins

Contraindications
A
Do not admin IM or subcutaneous

A
Flush IV line thoroughly with sodium chloride after admin

IV IntD - 10 grams Dose interval 5 mins RPTD - 10 grams MaxD D - 30 grams
