high culture
elite in society regard as intellectual achievements (art music literature, poetry, theatre) seen as intellectually superior, globalisation has led to spreading of this culture across the world via digital platforms

traditional and rituals of a culture folk, singing, dancing, traditional costumes. traditions are explicit to a location, argue folk culture inc globalised as tourist demand to see the performance of traditional dance / songs
popular culture
products of mass media in capitalist societies, tv films magazines enjoyed by majority of the pop.. mainly focused on entertainment. this media Is created for mass consumption as opposed for its own sake. due to technology/ globaltisiaon, a large section of the world pop engaged with much of the same popular entertainment eg insta twitter
