The decisions, choices, and actions/behaviors we make that reflect and enact our values

What is altruism?
Selflessness is the principle or practice of concern for the welfare of others.
What is autonomy?
The right of patients to make decisions about their medical care without their health care provider trying to influence the decisions.
What is the principle of beneficence?
It refers to a moral obligation to act for the benefit of others.
What is non-maleficence?
A moral principle that one should refrain from harming others.
What is the principle of confidentiality?
It is the principle that one should keep one’s promises about information disclosure.
What is the principle of fidelity?
The principle that one should keep one’s promises.
What is the principle of veracity?
The principle that one should tell the truth.
