Sig figs addition/sub rule
-Your answer must have the same # of DECIMALS as the lowest amount in the work
Sig figs mult/division rule
-Your answer must have the same # of SIG FIGS as the lowest amount in the work
Precision
-How close your measurements are to each other
-More placeholders= more precision
Accuracy
-How close you are to your target
Qualitative data
-Gives a quality
Ex: Its red, its smooth
Quantitative data
-Gives a number
-Ex. its 95 degrees out
Observation
-Something one of your 5 senses tells you
-Ex. Its gray, it has 6 sides
Inference
-A conclusion that you draw based on observations
-Ex. Its square, its sides are flat
-CAN BE WRONG!!!!
Density
-A measurement of how close particles are to eachother
