Question Time
Gov ministers face questions from MPs. Applies to all ministers. PMQ for leader of opposition to question the PM.
The Opposition
Largest non gov party= opposition. Confrontational. Opposition relies on limited state funding (short money) to fund research- gov have significant advantage. 20 days of topics to debate.
Debates
Debates on current events half an hour at the end of each day. Gives MPs chance to raise certain issues. BBBC organises a day a week in order to raise awareness of certain issues.
Select Committees
Scrutinise policy in departments- 11 members of each committee-
Debate relevant events. Can summon witnesses and examine restricted documents.
