replaced the ignored Molasses Act, instead of having to pay for the sugar they now had to bribe for it like monopoly.

stricter court run by high appointed British judges. This benefited so that there were no more loopholes they took all custom offenses.

a time where only colonists’ elected representatives could tax stamps this led to many angry mobs and people resigning.
