Northern Advantages
Military was a big advantage due to their big population over the South.
Southern Advantages
The South’s farm goods was greater than their manufactured products because they had more land and smaller factories
Northern financing- greenbacks
The union paid back the remaining 15% by printing paper money, but then the Legal Tender Act only allowed them to print %150 million in paper.
Southern financing… and its unfortunate results!
The govt payed 30% by borrowing, but they were afraid that the South wouldnt get everythign back so the confederacy paid them 60% in paper currency. Due to this the prices of everything went up bu 92% and people could not afford food which led to starvation.
