When we do evaluation, we find problems. By fixing the problems we enhance the usability.

We develop a web site by first checking the strategy. Strategy have user needs and site objectives. Then we check the scope. We have functional specifications and content requirements. Then we have structure of a website. It has interaction design and information architecture. Then we have skeleton. In skeleton we have information design, interface design and navigation design.
What we do in information architecture
We structure the content.
What is information design
It decide how information should be structured. e.g. tabular form, graphical form.
What is visual design
How we design graphics, animations (e.g. website theme)
What are types of usability
- Tactical
- Strategic
What is tactical usability
When we perform evaluation, we can find usability issues. When we counter them, it is called tactical usability.
What is strategic usability
The causes behind tactical problems relate to strategic usability.
