BISP CH 2 Flashcards
Officers should wait until the start of their
Day tour to review their updated priority list. The computer updates this list the night before the tour
Fire officers will be required to log onto to RBIS. At the start of
EVERY 9x6 tour regardless if the unit has BISP duty or not. RBIS will schedule inspections on BI and non-BI days according to policy rules.
RBIS is limited by one component. It only schedules and/or records inspections that have an
Associated BIN number. Building identification numbers and address issues should be forwarded to the BISP unit via email or a phone call. The BISP Unit will work with BTDS to resolve these issues
Status changes in RBIS are automatically approved by default for
14 days. This is to account for status changes that may not be looked at immediately by the administrative battalion
Three family dwellings with no common area and garages will be placed into the
“Exempt” status
The unit will continue to have access to the building data to record inspections as a result of complaints or other issues. However, exempt buildings will be removed for the risk based inspectional cycle
When I remove a private dwelling form the inspectional cycle do I need BC approval
No
When a building cannot be found what must the administrative unit do
Submit a status change to “Building not found”. Once the status change has been approved by the battalion the building will be referred to the BISP Unit via email or a phone call
All public schools K-12 will be inspected during every school year by
The Bureau of Fire Prevention. If requested Fire Operations may be requested to assist in the completion of the public schools by the end of the school year
Familiarization drills are not to be conducted
During BISP and should be scheduled during company or MUD
School familiarization drills should be conducted
Initially and then every 2 years from most recent drill
