Side effects: bleeding, hepatotoxicity, Reye syndrome, elevation of uric scid, hyperventilation (resp alk—> metabolic acidosis)

Intoxication: tinnitus, vertigo, metabolic acidosis, resp. depr., coma

Antidote: NaHCO3 iv + symptomatic
