Control loops
~the inner closed loop is stability system,detetcs attitude disturbance and correct to them
~outer loop,provides info to innner loop to allow it to make changes to altitude and heating
Closed loop : where feedback from an action or state is compared to the desired action or state
Open loop : where there is no feedback loop
One inner loops for each axes

~a 3axis autpilot has 3 inner loops (pitch ,roll and yaw) and 2 outer loops (pitch and roll)

Primary flight contrls moved by servomotors
Input is singlaled electricallzu but the actuator is moved hyd
There is a risk of exscessive contrl inputs due to lack of aerodynamics feedback in the contorl
~parallel : the actuator moves the cpntrol surface but also supplies feedback to the contrl column to allow it to move whiist under autopilot
~series; the actuator moves the contorl surface ,but not the control coloumn whilst under autpilit

Ap failure
~failure of an AP components or its power supply
~faalure of an a/c sys resulting on loss of a critacal to the ap

If within 3nm and the heading is in the direction of the ttrack the a/c will automatically capture the fligh route
If outside the 3nm ditance ,crew must intercept the track with 90 degrees
VOR station
Over the station senwing ciruciuit cut out signals when the VOR cone of silence
