Aerodynamic Warnings Flashcards
4 types of aerodynamic warning
~altitude alert sys
~over speed warning
~stall warning
~take off config warning sys
~flight envolope
Flight envolope protctions
Uses data from:
~ADIRU :AoA,speed,pitch,bank
~configuration :flap and slat position
FEP protecte parameters
~overspeed protection
~stall protection
~low energy protection
~bank angle limitation
~load g limitation
FEP philosophy
BOEING:
~pilots unlimate control
AIRBUS :control sys prevent manouvres outside of the normal operating envolope
Altitude alert sys
~alertrs the crew when approaching a pre selcted altitude
~alerts if deviate from the pre selcted altitude
All turbojet a/c and turbo pros over 5700kgsMTOM or with more than 9 pax seats ,need altitude alert sys
Altitude alerting is inhibited in flight whenevr g/s is captured in landing config
Stall waring inputs
~air direction detector or AoA vane/probe
~flaps and slats position
~air data computer or adirs
~thrust levers
~air ground logic swhicth
Airbus fly wire
~normal law: full protection
~altenate law: basic control laws but angle of attack and other protections may be lost
~direct law : relationship between inputs and control surface deflections
~mechanical law : the a/c can be controlled manually using the pitch trim and the rudder
