film packet is opened - nurse is to identify the film by feel + drop cover, black paper + lead foil at the bottom of the tank

film is inserted into first roller ensuring nurse only hold edges of the film

film transported through developer solution - this converts the latent image into a black metallic silver

film transported into fixer solution - this coverts the silver crystals into a fixed image onto the film

film is transported into water tank - removes any processing chemicals left on the film
4.
radiograph is then dried + ready for viewing
