Pharmacology of Atrovent

A

Anticholinergic bronchodilator

Actions:
Allows bronchodilatation by inhibiting cholinergic bronchomotor tone (i.e. blocks vagal reflexes which mediate bronchoconstriction)

  • Acute angle closure glaucoma secondary to
    direct eye contact (rare)
