What tendon is most likely to be utilized during reconstructive surgery?
Patellar tendon graft
Are closed chain activities or open chain activities more desirable?
Closed chain (decrease anterior translation of the tibia)
Is it possible for patient without formal reconstruction to participate in light to moderate physical activity?
Yes, with an aggressive strengthening an/or activity modification program.
Are contact or non-contact injuries more attributed to ACL tears?
Non-Contact
