Anat: Lymphatic Drainage Flashcards
Lower half of anal canal
Superficial inguinal nodes
CA in sigmoid colon would drain into?
Inferior mesenteric nodes
Rectum drains into?
Para rectal and inferior mesenteric nodes
Cervix
Internal AND external iliac LN
Prostate
INTERNAL Iliac nodes only NOT external
Trigone of the bladder
internal and external LN
Fundus of the uterus
Para aortic nodes AT THE LEVEL OF L1
Bartholin gland CA would drain into the?
Medial group of superficial inguinal nodes BELOW the inguinal ligament
Testes
Lumbar, para-aortic LN, nodes at the level of 1st lumbar vertebra then spread locally to involve the superficial inguinal nodes
Esophagus
Upper: deep cervical aka internal jugular nodes
Middle: Superior and inferior mediastinal nodes (netter: Posteior mediastinal and intercostal nodes)
Inferior: celiac nodes (netter: left gastric nodes and superior phrenic nodes)
Kidney
Lateral aortic nodes
Ureter
Lateral aortic and
Iliac nodes
Bladder
Internal and external LN
Rectum
The lymph vessels of the rectum drain first into the pararectal nodes and then into inferior mesenteric nodes. Lymph vessels from the lower part of the rectum follow the middle rectal artery to the internal iliac nodes.
Pancreas
Superior mesenteric LN and Celiac nodes
