DOSAGE/ ROUTE

A

1-3 PUFFS FROM METERED DOSE INHALER OR 2.5-5.0 DILUTED TO 3 CC NS VIA NEBULIZER

OXYGEN LITER FLOW IS USUALLY STARTED AT 6-8 LITERS FOR AERSOL NEBULIZER.

INCREASE LITER FLOW PRN TO MAINTAIN AEROSOL NEBULIZATION OF MED.

CAN ATTACH NEBULIZER TO BOTTOM OF SIMPLE FACE MASK IF O2 CONNECTION PORTION IS REMOVABLE FOR PATIENT UNABLE TO BREATHE INTO MOUTHPIECE OF AEROSOL NEBULIZER.

CAN ATTACH NEBULIZER TO ET TUBE IF PROPER CONNECTION PORT AVAILABLE.

ONSET: 5-15 MINUTES AFTER INHALATION
DURATION: 3-4 HRS AFTER INHALATION
