DOSAGE/ROUTE
1-2GM/KG MAY BE USED AS A ROUGH GUIDE. USUAL DOSE IS 50-100GM OF SLURRY ADMINISTERED PO OR ANY BY GASTRIC TUBE. PROTOCOL IS TO CONTACT MEDICOM PHYSICIAN BEFORE GIVING ACTIVATED CHARCOAL.

GI BLEEDING
SIDE EFFECTS
VOMITING/ASPIRATION
DIARRHEA, CONSTIPATION, AND RARELY BOWEL OBSTRUCTION AFTER REPEAT DOSES
BLACK STOOLS
PRECAUTION
PROTECT AIRWAY DURING ADMINISTRATION AND UPON REMOVAL OF GASTRIC TUBE.
DO NOT MIX WITH MILK PRODUCTS.
