Which computer controll the air conditioning system?
ACSC 1 and ACSC 2 (air conditioning system controller)
Each has 2 lane
One primary, one for backup

What cause pack flow control valve automatically close?
- Upstream pressure below minimum
- Engine start
- Engine fire pb
- Ditching pb
“Fault” light in PACK pbs indicate what?
(OOD)

●Over heat - pack outlet
●Over heat - compressor outlet
●Discontinuity- switch position disagree with pack flow control valve.
What happen if both lane of ACSC fail?
Related pack is lost and hot air pressure regulating valve and trim air valves close
When will hot air pressure regulating valve close?
●Both lane of ACSC 1 or 2 fail
●Duct overheat
●At least 2 trim air valves fail
How ACSC regulate temp?
●BASIC temp regulation: Both packs produce the required outlet temp determined by the lowest demanded zone temp.
●OPTIMISED temp regulation: Hot air is added to individual zones by trim air valves to maintain the desired temp.
“Fault” light in HOT AIR pb indicate?
Duct overheat when Temp reach 88⁰C
=> hot air valve and trim air valves auto close
“fault” light goes off when temp drop below 70⁰C
What is the function of HOT AIR pb
Control the hot air pressure regulating valves
When will pack ram air inlet flap close?
●During T/O when takeoff power is set and main landing gear pressed
●During land, when main gear is compressed.
Re-open 20s aft speed drop < 70kt
What does Emergency Ram Air inlet do?
Ventilate cabin during smoke or when both packs fail
What is the function of mixture unit?
Through circulation fan,mix cabin air with conditioned air from packs
Can cabin control the temp?
Yes, within +/- 2.5⁰C from cockpit modification
What is temp selection range?
18⁰C to 30⁰C
Under which condition, sys auto delivery HI flow?
In single pack operation
or when APU bleed is supply the system
How is pack flow controlled and operated?
The valve is electrically controlled and pneumatically operated
The PACK FLOW controller is set to NORM and ECAM show PACK FLOW to be high. WHY?
Because system is operated with only 1 pack or being supplied by APU bleed
How can you operate the emergency ram air inlet valve?
The valve is controlled by the RAM AIR pb. It open provide that ∆P<1psi.
Note: Outflow valve need to be in auto position in order to be opened to ventilate the A/C
If PACK FLOW is selected HI, will it automatically shift lower ?
