Above the kidneys
When is adrenaline produced?
During times of fear or stress into the blood
Effects of adrenaline
Increase heart rate so more oxygen and blood to brain and muscles for aerobic respiration in preparation for flight or fight

Back of neck
When is thyroxine produced?
Makes chemical reactions take place faster
For growth and repair
Journey of thyroxine in body
Pituitary gland detects fall in thyroxine levels
So releases TSH
Which triggers thyroid gland or release more thyroxine into blood
Increase is detected by brain ro stop release of TSH
Negative feed back cycle
If levels of hormone 1 are too low there is an increase of hormone 2 to trigger hormone 1 to be released more
When 1 increases 2 will decrease again
