A

-In act 3 s4 , Macbeth says he intends to ‘send’ for Macduf . S6 confirms hthat he has sent for him and thta Macbeth has refused to attend . As Banquo is no longer a threat to Macbeth , Shakespeare provides another enemy , Macduff , who is beginnng to challeneg Macbeth’s power .

A

It is Macduffwho first questions Macbeth’s behabiour , after he kills the guards in Act 2 . Macduff akss ‘wehrefore did you so ?’ , showing that he is suspiciosu of such rash behaviour . Shakespeare shows that Macbeth bitterly reents , poeple like b and macduff , who have independent htoughts and idead that might threaten his positono f power , or reveal the truth about hwat he ahd doen .
