key character Macbeth and Lady Macbeth

A

-Earlier she siad ‘Nought’s had , all’s spsnet ‘and we see this partiulary here ll she wanted ot be queen and the scene begins with her keeping ‘her sate ‘ , in other words , remaiing on hr throne . If there was anywhere in the play where Lady Macbeth could enjoy being qeen to the full , it is here : on her thrones , surrounded yb subjects . Yet , cause of Macbeth’s actions , this is becomes a hollow andempy event ,lacking any dignity or regal significance .

A

Shakespeare develops the supernatrual motif throughout the play ; we have had th witches , their prophecies , the dagger that led Macbeth to Duncan , and now we have the ghost of Banquo . But whereas Banqyo saw and heard the witche alongside Macbeth .=, here only Macbeth ses the vision . As lady Macbeth says , ‘whens all done / you look but on stool ‘ .

A

-After Macbet finds Banquo’s ghost on hsi seat , this scene is rich in both drama and dramaticc irony , in wihch Macbeth is confrotned by an appartition that only he can se e.
