636 Loss of Recycle Gas Compressor (66-EOP-5004) Flashcards
OPER - 1.1.1 - ENSURE the Heater 636F0001, Reactor Feed heater SIS has activated automatically isolating the Fuel Gas to the burners or by TRIPPING it manually.
OPER - 1.1.2 - CHECK the Shutdown Summary screen on the PLC for indication of the cause of compressor shutdown:
- (Levels, Pressures, Temps, Thrust & Vibrations)
OPER - 1.1.3 - ATTEMPT to restart the compressor following steps below:
A - DETERMINE cause of shutdown and correct
B - PERFORM the following if compressor was shutdown because of high level in the 636D0006, Recycle Gas Knockout Drum:
1 - CORRECT issue that caused the Recycle Gas KO drum to fill.
2 - CHECK compressor case drains for liquid entrapment
3 - CHECK the Recycle Gas KO drum as indicated by Local Level Indicator (66LI0010B), for high level and drain as needed
C - ENSURE the following Shutdown indicators located on Local Alarm panel are Clear
- Recycle Gas Compressor Suction Drum Hi-Hi Level Alarm (66LAHH0050A)
- Recycle Gas Compressor Low-Low Lube Oil Pressure Alarm (66PALL0271A/B)
- Inboard or Outboard vent gas Hi-Hi Flow Alarm (66FAHH0220A/B - 66FAHH0223A/B)
- Recycle Gas Compressor or Gearbox Axial Hi-Hi Thrust Alarms (66ZAHH0032 - 66ZAHH0035)
D - VERIFY that all permissives have been met, and all alarms are clare:
- Lube Oil Rundown Tank Level (>20%)
- Lube Oil Resevoir Temperature (>75 degrees F)
- Lube Oil Pressure (>15 psig)
OPER - 1.1.4 - VERIFY that the Multi-LINS located in Switchgear Room have not tripped.
OPER - 1.1.5 - PLACE the 636AC0001, Recycle Gas Compressor back in service per 66-SOP-2030, Compressor Operation/Maintenance Preparation procedure, Section 5.1
1.2 Complete Supplemental Actions
