636 Loss of Makeup Hydrogen Compressor (66-EOP-5005) Flashcards
CCR/OPER - 1.1.1 - PERFORM the following if one Makeup Gas Compressor (636C0002A/B) has tripped
A - DETERMINE and CORRECT cause of Makeup Gas Compressor shutdown
OPER - B - ENSURE the Startup Permissives have been met
CCR - C - LOWER unit pressure ~40-5- psig
OPER - D - RESET alarm panel and RESTART Makeup Gas Compressors
CCR - 1.1.2 - PERFORM the following if one of the two Makeup Gas Compressors will NOT Restart
A - Adjust setpoint on Charge Heater Feed Controller (66FC0069) as needed to maintain hydrogen concentration and Feed flow no less than 1550 bph
B - HAVE one or more of the following DIVERT excess Feed to Tank:
- Coker Unit
- Crude Unit
- Oil Movements
OPER/CCR - 1.1.3 - PERFORM the following if both Makeup Gas Compressors will NOT Restart
A - CORRECT the issue that caused the compressors to shutdown
B - ATTEMPT to RESTART one of the compressors
C - IF compressor(s) restarts,
RETURN unit to service in accordance with 66-SOP-1003, Startup After Emergency Shutdown procedure.
OPER/CCR - 1.1.4 - IF the cause of the shutdown cannot be resolved within 10 minutes of the compressor shutdowns,
PERFORM the following:
OPER - A - SHUTDOWN the in service Charge Pump (636P0001A/B, to stop feed to 636 Unit
CCR - B - HAVE the following DIVERT Feed to Tank:
- Coker Unit
- Crude Unit
- Oil Movements
CCR - C - DECREASE set point on 636F0001, Charge Heater Outlet Temperature Controller (66TC0016, to approximately <450 degrees F, if possible.
