633 Steam Generator Tube Rupture (63-EOP-5026) Flashcards
1.1.1 63E0060 Hot Flash Vapor Cooler
OPER A. If there is a tube failure on the 633E0060, Hot Flash Vapor Cooler. PERFORM the following
OPER B. NOTIFY the following of Steam Generator Tube Rupture:
- HDS Console Operator
- Shift Supervisor
OPER C. Bypass Hot Flash Vapor Cooler by performing the following:
1. OPEN 12” Gas Bypass Valve on Hot Flash Vapor Cooler (633E0060).
2. CLOSE 12” gas Inlet Valve to Hot Flash Vapor Cooler
3. CLOSE 12” Gas Outlet Valve to Hot Flash Vapor Cooler
4. CLOSE 63LV0004 Boiler Feed Water Level Controller 2” Outlet Valve.
CCR D. REDUCE feed rate on 633 HDS Unit to prevent increasing inlet temperature of 633D0003 Cold Flash Drum.
CCR E. NOIFY Plant Shift Superintendent (PSS) that Hot Flash Vapor Cooler (633E0060), has been isolated.
OPER/CCR F. IF REDUCED feed rate does not achieve adequate temperature reduction (less than 450degreesF) of Hot Flash Vapor Cooler as indicated by (63TI3055),
SHUT DOWN 633 HDS Unit as per 63-EOP-5001 Emergency Shutdown procedure.
1.1.2 - 633B0102, Fractionator Bottoms Cooler
OPER A. If there is a tube failure on the 633B0102, Fractionator Bottoms Boiler. PERFORM the following.
OPER B. NOTIFY the following of Steam Generator Tube Rupture:
- HDS Console Operator
- Shift Supervisor
OPER C. IF there is a tube failure
Bypass Fractionator Bottoms Boiler (633B0102) by performing the following:
1. OPEN 8” Hydrocarbon Bypass Valve on Fractionator Bottoms Boiler.
2. CLOSE 8” Hydrocarbon inlet Valve to Fractionator Bottoms Boiler.
3. CLOSE 8” Hydrocarbon Outlet Valve to Fractionator Bottoms Boiler.
4. CLOSE 63LV0208 Boiler Feed Water Level Controller, 3” Outlet Valve.
OPER D. PLACE Product Stripper Bottoms Cooler Fans (633E0003A1/A2/B1/B2/C1/C2/D1/D2), in service to control product temperature to Diesel Tank.
CCR E. REDUCE Feed rate on 633 Unit to maintain less than 200 degrees F product release temperature as indicated by (63TI3100).
