A

It is located in the elbow and knee and it can go backwards, forwards, but not sideways. It allows flexion and extension.

What is the location and description of the ball and socket joint?

A

Located in the shoulder and hip. It allows for all types of movement except gliding, including circumflexion-rotating all the way around. More vulnerable to damage due to amount movement (dislocated shoulder, hip replacement)

It is in the neck and allows for rotating movement around a single point (axis).
