1. Respect Your Service
I completely understand and respect your service. My uncle was a Marine and I’m proud of the purple heart he earned during the Vietnam War.
2. What the VA Gives
However, the VA gives a maximum amount of $1,600. If you pass away in a VA facility you get $800, but if you pass away outside of a VA facility you only get $300. The remaining $800 comes from a plot allowance if you’re not buried in a VA cemetery. BENEFICIARY will be responsible for EVERY other cost.
Do you have enough set aside for the transportation of the body? The embalming or cremation? The urn or headstone? The celebration of Life at the Funeral Home or wherever your family holds it at?
Why don’t we do this, if it’s about the money we can always lower the price, cause a little something is better than nothing at all – does that sound fair NAME?
3. There Are Still Other Costs
