Position of authority
Plans and organises

What are the four types of leadership?
Autocratic- Decision-making without consultation of workers
Democratic -Where employees are allowed to participate in decision-making
- Persuasive
- consultative
Paternalistic- Make decisions to and take into account of welfare of employees
Laisser faire– Employees are allowed to and encouraged to make own decisions
What is democratic leadership? Persuasive and consultative?
Offers guidance to group members participates in the group analog input from other group members
Democratic persuasive - leaders make decision then persuade subordinates into best option
Consultative- leaders consult with the subordinates and makes decisions
what is paternalistic leadership?
Softer form of an authoritarian leader-mayo’s relations - employees needs
Decide what’s best for your employees 
What is laissez-faire leadership?
Employees can carry activities and make decisions freely
Positives relaxed environment
Negative - little guidance and lack of motivation and lack of supervision
How many an autocratic leader be bad?
Group becomes dependent on leader result in little cohesion and feeing dissatisfied
And lots of supervision
However may be good in dangerous situations need to be guided in the right way
