What is the fifth stage of recruitment process?
Collecting application form CVs -
This is good as it’s easier to compare candidates as is the standard forms of all applicants and businesses
however it takes a while to fill-in so may have a low response rate
What is a CV? What are the positives and negatives

❌ it’s not specific to the business so might be hard to judge whether they are the right candidates for the vacancy

What is internal recruitment?
When the business employ someone from within the organisation
What are the positives and negatives of internal recruitment?
✅ Familiar with culture of the business so no need for induction training and lead to an reduction in cost
+ Business knows strengths and weaknesses of employees - less risky
+ can motivate staff as it shows there is more chance of getting a role
- Leaves behind a space to the fill- more work load and time
- limited pool the candidates - lack of new ideas 💡

What is external recruitment?
When you bring somebody from outside of the organisation to fill in a vacancy
What are the positives of external recruitment?
New ideas
a large pool of applicants so you’re more likely to find the best and suitable candidate
new employees are normally more motivated
What are the negatives of external recruitment?
May clash with work workers and work culture
more risky difficult to judge what kind of person they are just from interviews
more costs with recruitment and training

What are the three training costs ?
Training course and other resources - have to pay for external training

Training given to employees when starting a new job
What are the two types of induction training?

mentoring - more experience person advises less experienced person
