The owner or occupant of premises under investigation shall not be allowed to enter until sanctioned by a Senior Officer or Arson investigator. The assigned member shall keep a log of all people entering or exiting the scene. The log shall include the name, organization, time and purpose of entry. A copy of the log shall be forwarded to the BFES investigator, the District Chief and the Platoon Chief.

b. Second offence: shall warrant a reprimand from the Platoon Chief or Division Chief and the Deputy Chief shall be notified in writing.
c. Third offence: the member shall not be allowed to go on-duty until the Platoon Chief or Division Chief has obtained permission from the Deputy Chief or if unavailable, the on-duty Chief. However, a third offence may warrant a suspension or dismissal by the Fire Chief.
d. Any member who is more than thirty (30) minutes late without notifying Communications will be considered as failing to report. They shall not be allowed to go on duty until their District Chief has obtained permission from the Platoon Chief. In all Divisions other than Firefighting, permission to go on duty must be obtained from the member’s Division Chief.
