Describe how beta blockers help to reduce hypertension

A

Beta blockers (medicine) is taken and binds to beta-adrrenergic receptors on myocytes (contractile cells of heart)
Intro cellular changed to myocytes
Reduced contractile rate
Heart beats more slowly
Reduced blood pressure and coresspondoing ailments (e.g cardiovascular disease, angina , stroke and heart failure)
