NATURAL PASSIVE = when maternal antibodies are transferred to the fetus through the placenta or from breast milk to the gut of the infant.
NATURAL ACTIVE = acquired from exposure to the disease organism through infection with the actual disease
ARTIFICIAL PASSIVE = an immediate, but short-term immunization provided by the injection of antibodies, such as gamma globulin, that are not produced by the recipient’s cells
