- found within the myometrium
- can cause uteris to twist and get heavy which would then twist the artery and cause pelvic pain
- compromise uterine function when it comes to pregnancy
- fibroids can press onto nerves or make uterus larger than normal

- can rupture the tube of not fixed
- the ovum can also get fertilized in the abdominal cavity
